  2. Minors:

    • Alcohol is strictly prohibited at events where minors are present.

    • Minors must have no access to alcohol at any time during the event.

  3. Safety and Responsibility:

    • Strong emphasis is placed on safe consumption, including avoiding drunkenness and preventing driving while impaired.

    • Event organizers must prioritize the safety of all attendees.

    • Providers and consumers of alcohol are solely responsible for ensuring responsible consumption.

  4. Supplemental Insurance for Rentals:

    • Alcohol is permitted at events operated by other organizations, including renters, only if the renting party purchases supplemental event insurance that explicitly covers the use of alcohol.

  5. Inappropriate Settings:

    • Alcohol is not allowed at events where its presence is deemed inappropriate by a group's leaders, their staff lead, or a member of the Executive Team. Alcohol may be deemed inappropriate based on safety or other key missional values.

  6. Storage Restrictions:

    • Alcohol must not be stored in unsecured locations such as church refrigerators or counters beyond the hours of event setup and teardown.

    • Providers of alcohol must adhere to all storage policies.

  7. Provider Responsibility:

    • Providers of alcohol are solely responsible for its consumption and for adhering to all storage and safety policies.

    • Events or groups within the church who decide to make alcohol available must distribute this alcohol policy to attendees at least once per year.

Enforcement: Non-compliance with this policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the event, group alcohol use privileges being revoked or termination of the rental agreement. Event organizers and alcohol providers must ensure strict adherence to these guidelines to maintain a safe and responsible environment.
